The use of a secure virtual private network (VPN) connection is a regular procedure for us, be it connecting to our infrastructure or client's or any infrastructure.
This allows for remote work to be done without jeopardizing the safety of our customers' data and systems. There are four main configurations with VPNs:
1. We work on the client's equipment and the entire environment and access management is on the client's side
2. We deliver the equipment and then adapt the equipment to work in the client's environment, connect to their Active Directory (AD), install VPNs, and a set of software from the client
3. We deliver equipment connected to our AD, and install the client's VPN to access its resources
4. We deliver equipment connected to our AD and set up a VPN tunnel between ITMAGINATION and the client's resources. Only designated people will have access to the connection.
Customers may choose to ship their own hardware in some circumstances to guarantee that it is compatible with their already-existing systems and to preserve control over their IT environment. To ensure that there is no disruption in the flow of communication with our customers, we are more than pleased to accommodate this request and work with whatever hardware that is offered.
Because it ensures compatibility and paves the way for a more seamless transition when activities are outsourced to our team, this choice may be especially tempting to customers who already have highly specialized or proprietary systems in place.
However, we are also aware that the practice of using the personal devices of developers, which is referred to as "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD), can result in certain potential security issues. For this reason, we choose not to do it.

Although we make every effort to cater to the needs of our customers, the safety of their data as well as that of our systems is always our first priority.
