Raiffeisen Bank International is a leading corporate and investment bank in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), with 13 markets of the region covered by subsidiary banks. In total, around 47,000 employees service almost 16 million customers through around 2,200 business outlets, the majority of which are located in Central & Eeastern Europe.
In 2014 Raiffeisen Bank Polska was the eighth largest Polish bank in terms of asset size. In 2018, after the split operation, the core business of the bank was incorporated into BNP Paribas.
The business objective was to provide individual and micro entrepreneurs with a fully mobile and functional application for managing bank products, making payments and facilitating their daily activities.

Raiffeisen Bank wanted to provide individual and micro-entrepreneurs with a modern, fully functional, lightweight mobile application for managing bank products, making payments, and facilitating their daily activities.
Our team developed a Mobile Wallet that provides fast and convenient access to banking products anywhere, anytime. Our team built integrations with 3rd parties enabling users to easily do their online shopping, topping up their phone, buying tickets, and paying for parking all within the app. We also developed the currency exchange platform within the app that integrates directly with the bank's exchange services.
Mobile payments and contactless payments with the phone are launched directly in the application, without the need to install additional applications (e.g. Google Pay and Apple Pay).
We paid special attention to security - logging into the application, and mobile payment authorization are both done using biometrics, the application is phishing resistant and does not store confidential data on the phone.
The ITMAGINATION team, together with the Bank, designed and implemented the backend layer of the application with the application gateway.
We created the Mobile Wallet as a lightweight and transparent application that contains only what is necessary for the customer.
Using the mobile application is fast and intuitive, and it helps customers on a day-to-day basis in organizing their activities such as paying for parking or buying public transportation tickets while sustaining a high level of security.
