The IoT Predictive Maintenance solution helped reduce downtime during production cycles and reduce product warranty claims and increase final product quality.
The platform was built in a modern approach – self-service approach, dashboards and in-memory model.
They gained centralized tools to analyze global and local business KPIs as well as fast, online and mobile access to reports and dashboards.
The main challenge was to assure continuous reporting during and after new ERP rollout in entire organization enriched with new modern approach – self-service approach, dashboards and in-memory model.
Optimizing costs of production line maintenance and minimizing downtime. Reducing product return rate and warranty claims.
The project covered the usage of sensor data previously used only by production line vendor: temperature, composition, environment parameters, vibration, electric current and voltages, etc. Full cloud solution architecture. Integrated with business data analytics systems: Global BI solution delivered also by ITMAGINATION. The solution included: predictive maintenance models and predictive quality models. Used algorithms and data processing: Classification in neural networks, decision trees and AFT models.
As a result, Tikkurila was able to conduct full analysis of income, cost and effective margin on both customer and product levels with a more modern analytical solution allowing ad-hoc dashboard creation and a self-service approach to analytics and BI.
