We are looking for experienced team players to fill the Cobol-Java Solution Architect position and participate in our up-and-coming project for our client from the banking industry.
You can expect:
- Providing solution architecture guidance for prioritized epics across a wide range of applications and platforms. This includes systems related to equities, funds, insurances, and other savings products.
- Working in a complex landscape involving Java and Mainframe (Cobol) technologies. Some applications are set to be migrated or decommissioned, so experience with system transformation is highly valued.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in Solution Architecture
- Strong background in Java-based systems
- Understanding of the banking domain, preferably in Savings (equities, funds, insurances, etc.) OR Solid understanding of the banking domain, with a strong preference for experience in the Lending space—such as loans, credit, and mortgage products
- Experience with multi-platform environments (Mainframe and distributed systems)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Good to Have:
- Experience with Mainframe (Cobol) systems
- Experience in application migration and decommissioning
- SAFe 4 Certified Agilist or similar Agile/SAFe certification
- Previous experience supporting transition or onboarding of new team members
